Ticino National Park: a public assignement for the construction of a boathouse with the request of a low budget. The result is a project made up of sustainable materials and a clean shape that fits perfectly into the natural environment that welcomes the structure.
The bottom of the building is a rectangle of reinforced concrete - to preserve the constructiont in the event of flooding . A series of entrances come in succession and open up the grey rectangle to the external space; an inverted cone section of wooden coating crowns the structure and acts as a second skin. Clean lines and basic materials supplemented by shaped tinplate used for the boats' entrance. This openings follow each other around the entire perimeter of the building with an amplitude designed to make easier the boat's transition, furthermore a system of grids are arranged around the structure against the water leak.
