How can a dated apartment be fitted to the modern and romantic taste of the young owner, without moving walls and increasing the wardrobes at the same time?
In this small loft, spreading over three floors, we got a fresh and modern style working just on furniture, materials, colours and finishes.
The oak wood floor becomes the main element that, with the new staircase, gets all the three levels together.
Brightness is increased everywhere, using light and neutral colours in every room. The long suspension lamps are positioned in the double-height space, against the wall painted in light sage green. These lights connect the first and second level, either visually and chromatically, increasing the impression of largeness.
The basin wall in the small bathroom is made more fun with a large green leaves design, applied with a self-adhesive upholstery, in contrast with the new wooden chest under it.
In the living room, an almost unusable corner is put to good use installing a new electric fireplace, making the relaxation area much more welcoming. On the second level, a double wardrobe is used either as headboard and walk-in closet.
On the top level, a small office has been positioned to work from home, exploiting the zenith light.
This way, with some little and well thought changes (and without any disrupting works), this small dated loft has been turned into the style preferred by the owner.
