Cimarosa Residence corridors I Milan I 2019 I 95sqm
How can we update the common spaces of a Residence, using the icons’ style of the new brand brochure? To answer this question from the Cimarosa Residence, we turned its corridors into city streets, applying a wallpaper printed with some new, colorful and stylized city icons drawings. And so, all at a sudden, everything in the corridors comes to life: walls and doors become buildings, shops and trams; the fire hose box is turned into a letter box; the fancoil looks like a suitcase on the floor, while a pipe becomes a branch supporting an electrical wire full of swallows. No single element is left to itself, even the safety signs are placed into a traffic light. Walking in the corridors is like walking in a street: walls are framed between a carpet floor with a pavement effect and the sky blue color of the ceiling. Even the wall lamp, with its painted yellow projection, transforms either the wall and the floor. This how a completely original idea totally transformed a common space quickly and within the budget, with just few and well-thought modifications.
